Nick Dolecek

President

Nick has worked as the President of DEI for the past 19 years and has built and managed large scale projects all over the US. He has the ability to organize all aspects of a landscape level forestry project from preliminary planning, to implementation while managing large scale crews and final auditing that verify a projects quality. Nick is an accomplished forester and developer with an acute understanding of both financial markets and real estate markets nationally. He has an amazing ability to combine these talents to help clients protect and profit from their natural resources.

Nick graduated with Natural Resources and Business Administration degrees from Oregon State University Corvallis and Utah State University. Nick is one of two contractors nationally certified to statistically design, quantify and layout federal timber sales to preserve the US Forest Service standards as well as create the documentation required to make sales legally defensible. He has helped develop over 15 million emission reduction tons and has helped protect over 1 million acres of forest worldwide.

Kyla Dolecek

Senior Vice President of Operations
 

Kyla Dolecek has been working in forestry for the past 13 years many of which she has been a supervisory forester. Kyla began her forestry career doing Agroforestry in Senegal, West Africa with the Peace Corps. She has done all forms of Common Stand Exams, presale forestry and is Timber Cruise Certified in Region 8 and 3. Kyla has been a crew chief in CFI (Continuous Forest Inventory) and has been a technician in FIA (Forest Inventory and Analysis). She is also qualified to work and administer carbon inventories. 

Kyla has graduated with degrees from The Evergreen State College in WA and New Mexico Highland University in NM. 

 

 

Nathan Malcomb

Director of Carbon Offsets

Nathan Malcomb has worked in forestry, research and carbon sequestration for 15 years. His time spent working for CalFire on some of California’s early action carbon projects, coupled with climate change research have given him a unique skill set and view of offset projects. His work entails origination, inventory, quantification and sales.

 

Max W. Modern

Project Manager- Southwestern United States

Max has worked in the natural resource sector for 20 years. He is currently directing operations for Dolecek Enterprises Inc.in the southwest, based out of Pagosa Springs, CO. Emphasis on watershed and fire mitigation. Max's expertise includes timber sales, timber cruising, GIS, drone mapping and forest management.

 
 

Tim Hare

Supervisory Forester

Tim Hare has been has been working in forestry for the past 13 years. During that time Tim has worked all over the United States in both Silviculture and Timber running crews and crew leaders to ensure high quality production and large volumes of work are implemented well. Tim is extremely adept at personnel and business management for scaling operations up in various sectors.
